Born and raised on Chicago’s South Side and now rooted in New York, Vo Era crafts soul with a storyteller’s touch. His music blends warm guitar grooves, stripped-back honesty and the kind of lyrics that turn simple moments into something vivid and human. Every song plays a part in his journey, carried by groove, warmth and lived experience.
Vo has appeared on stages throughout Chicago and NYC, and in 2013 performed the Black National Anthem at the Presidential Inauguration Brunch.
A year later he joined Hypnotic Brass Ensemble as their first guitarist, touring the world and performing alongside The Roots, Esperanza Spalding, Gregory Porter, Gorillaz, Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey.
His debut album HONEY set the tone for his signature blend of soul, optimism and storytelling. A new chapter is on the way as he works toward his next solo release
